Jon Olasagasti Transfer from Real Sociedad to Levante
Marca reports on Jon Ander Olasagasti's transfer from Real Sociedad to Valencia. Jon Ander Olasagasti has bid farewell to his teammates at Real Sociedad and is heading to Valencia. He will undergo a medical examination with Levante and, if successful, will sign his new contract. The transfer could reach 1.5 million euros for Real Sociedad if the contract variables are met. Additionally, Real Sociedad retains 30% of a future sale and a right of first refusal for a possible return.
According to Marca, Jon Ander Olasagasti is on the verge of transferring to Levante. Despite having renewed his contract with Real Sociedad until 2027 just five months ago, Olasagasti is expected to join Levante soon, with only a few final details of the agreement remaining to be settled. Olasagasti was not considered a key player by Imanol Alguacil, which led to him being granted the freedom to explore other offers, with Levante being the club he is close to joining. The decision to transfer comes as he does not align with the plans of Real Sociedad's new technical managers, Erik Bretos and Sergio Francisco. Towards the end of last year, Olasagasti started playing more regularly, which attracted interest from several Second Division teams and some First Division clubs considering a loan move. This interest prompted Real Sociedad to offer a contract renewal, which was announced on February 6. However, due to recent changes in the coaching staff, Olasagasti no longer plays a central role in plans for the upcoming season, leading the club to permit him to pursue other opportunities.
