In January, FC Nordsjælland was in talks with 23-year-old Norwegian Joel Mvuka while he was at the French Ligue 1 club FC Lorient. The Danish club tried to convince him of their project in Farum, where he was identified as a player to strengthen their front line. Ultimately, Celtic signed the player on a loan agreement that includes a purchase option, ahead of other interested clubs, including FC Nordsjælland. According to reports in February 2026, the loan includes an option to buy for approximately £3 million (~€3.5 million). Mvuka has 16 caps and 3 goals for Norway U21 and made 15 Ligue 1 appearances for Lorient in the 2025/2026 season. Lorient had signed him from Bodø/Glimt in January 2023 for a reported fee of €5.5 million. Transfermarkt estimates his current market value to be €2.00m.
