Striker Joël Monteiro, a Swiss international who also holds Portuguese citizenship, is set to join Serie A club US Lecce. The Italian side confirmed that the 27-year-old is expected to arrive for medical examinations on Monday. The transfer terms with Young Boys are settled, and Monteiro has also agreed to the move. This will be his first transfer abroad after five years with the Bern-based club. His contract with Young Boys was due to expire at the end of the season.
