Tottenham and Atletico Madrid were among the clubs interested in Strasbourg's 24-year-old Argentine striker, Joaquin Panichelli, who scored 16 goals in 27 Ligue 1 appearances in his first season. In February, Juventus decided to pursue the forward, initiating contact with both the player and his entourage. This led Panichelli to prioritize the Italian club, whose manager had also approved the potential transfer. A transfer fee between €35 and €40 million was anticipated, but the situation changed when the striker suffered a cruciate ligament rupture near the end of the season. Panichelli joined Strasbourg in July 2025, has earned one cap for Argentina, and his contract is due to expire in June 2030.
