Jhon Solís Transfer from Girona to Tigres UANL

On Friday afternoon, it was claimed that Mexican top-flight side Tigres UANL made an offer of €3m (£2.6m) to sign Jhon Solis. Girona reportedly rejected the offer as they aim to recoup as much of the €6m (£5.2m) they paid for him. According to Girona-based reporter Ivan Quiros, who relayed reports from Mexico, Tigres have identified 29-year-old Paraguayan Richard Sanchez as a potential signing if they do not sign Solis.

Jhon Solís, a 21-year-old Colombian midfielder, is available for a transfer from Girona this winter. While Tigres had been an option for Solís, the possibility of a move to Mexico has become less likely. Information from Mexico indicates that Tigres is also negotiating for Richard Sánchez, who is an alternative for their midfield. Meanwhile, Birmingham FC has taken concrete steps for the player. The Championship club has submitted a proposal described as very high and is determined to sign the midfielder, making this the most advanced option currently. Girona aims to recover a significant part of the nearly five million euros they invested in Solís and to free up a non-EU player slot. Solís has a contract with the Spanish club until 2028, has made 12 appearances in LaLiga this season, and has a current Transfermarkt market value of €2.50m.
