Jessic Ngankam leaving Eintracht Frankfurt?
Bild reports on a potential transfer of Jessic Ngankam to 1. FC Magdeburg and on rumours linking the player to the club. Ngankam fits the profile sought by 1. FC Magdeburg, which is a fast winger with second division experience. He was on loan at Hannover 96 until the summer and returned to Frankfurt to recover after sustaining a serious lower leg injury in April 2025 during a second division match for Hannover 96 against Elversberg. It is reported that Eintracht Frankfurt has already given clearance for a transfer. Ngankam has a desire to play regularly, and his opportunities for playing time are limited because Eintracht Frankfurt signed three new strikers this winter.
German forward Jessic Ngankam (25) from Eintracht Frankfurt could be loaned out in the winter to gain more playing experience. Sports director Timmo Hardung reports that the forward "suffered a really nasty injury, which accordingly takes a long time to heal. It has healed, but he was out for a long time." Hardung further explains: "We are bringing him back step by step to the level where he can keep up with the intensity in training. Then we have to see what the most sensible way is to get him back into playing time." It is reported that the route through the second team, which only plays in the Hessenliga, is not a permanent option. It is considered quite possible that Ngankam will be placed at another club where he can play regularly. Ngankam's contract runs until 2028. In 2024, he joined Eintracht from Hertha BSC for four million euros. Ngankam has already been loaned out twice. According to Transfermarkt, the player's current market value is €1.00 million.
