Kalmar FF's sporting director, Mats Winblad, described the centre-back as very good and experienced, adding that it is an additional positive factor that Löfgren is a local player. The move follows a season for Löfgren that was significantly affected by injuries; he has made one brief substitute appearance in Switzerland's first five rounds and has played a total of 32 matches for FC Luzern. Löfgren joined the Swiss club in July 2024 and his contract there runs until June 2027. His current market value is €150k, according to Transfermarkt.
