Racing Genk is nearing the completion of a deal to sign 19-year-old Ghanaian left winger Jerry Afriyie from the Saudi Arabian club Al-Qadsiyah. The move is intended to fill the position vacated by Yira Sor, who is set to depart for Turkish club Amed. During the previous season, the player was on loan at La Louvière, where he scored five goals and provided one assist. His performance led to interest from several top Belgian clubs, but Afriyie has chosen to transfer to Racing Genk.
