Another Norwegian outlet, Nordlys, reports that the offered figure is likely large enough for the clubs to reach an agreement. However, Nordlys also adds that the offer will not be accepted in its current form and will require adjustments. A lower bid from Cardiff was rejected earlier in July, but they have now made a significantly improved offer that is close to Tromsø’s asking price. iTromsø reports that the offer is large enough to make a record-breaking deal increasingly realistic. The outcome could also depend on the player's wishes.
