Sources have told Football Insider that Ipswich Town are keen on signing Birmingham City striker Jay Stansfield after their promotion to the Premier League. Sources have indicated that Stansfield meets many of the requirements for Ipswich in terms of the qualities they are looking for in a striker. A £25 million price tag has been placed on the frontman. There is Premier League interest this summer, with multiple clubs tracking him. Birmingham reportedly want to make a substantial profit on Stansfield, which is the reason for their £25m valuation.

According to SportsBoom, Ipswich Town have joined Everton, Hull City, and Sunderland as clubs interested in signing 23-year-old English forward Jay Stansfield. Birmingham City are reportedly set to demand a club-record fee of more than £30m (€35m) for the forward, who was involved in 16 goals last season. Stansfield joined Birmingham from Fulham in August 2024 for a reported fee of £15m (€17.8m) and has a contract with the club until 2031. The forward has nine caps for the England U21 team, and his current market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €18.00m.
