Jay Kruiver is a new player for Osijek, having left Roda JC. Roda officially confirmed his departure and announced that it will receive a transfer fee of an undisclosed amount. According to a VoetbalPrimeur report at the end of August, Osijek had already sent three offers for Jay Kruiver, and the 25-year-old Dutchman had personally reached an agreement for a three-year contract with the Croatian club. At one point, the deal appeared unlikely to proceed because the clubs could not agree on compensation. Negotiations were reopened and the transfer was completed at the end of the Dutch transfer window.

Jay Kruiver, a 25-year-old who was trained at Ajax, is close to signing for Osijek, with his arrival intended to provide depth at the right-back position. The Dutchman is in the final year of his contract with Roda JC, where he has played for the last two seasons, and his transfer is expected to be confirmed soon. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €500k.
