Javi López, a 24-year-old Spanish left-back, is expected to depart Real Sociedad this summer. Deportivo Alavés, where López is well known, has made inquiries about the player. There is also interest from abroad. According to Dutch media, Feyenoord is interested in a loan with an option to buy, a detail also noted by El Diario Vasco. Sporting de Portugal is another interested club and is reportedly willing to pursue a permanent transfer. Real Sociedad, which paid €6.5 million to sign López from Alavés in 2024, would aim to recover a significant portion of that fee in any potential sale. Transfermarkt lists his current market value at €5 million. A year prior, in August 2025, a transfer to Real Betis for a reported fee of approximately €6 million was said to be agreed before it did not proceed. The defender has been capped five times for Spain's U21 team.
