Jason Steele: Brighton & Hove Albion Contract Extension

English goalkeeper Jason Steele, 35 years old, has signed a new contract that will keep him at the Seagulls until June 2027. The agreement will extend his stay at the club to a total of nine years, following his arrival from Sunderland in July 2018. Steele commented that the club's progress since he arrived is incredible and that he hopes to complete ten years there, which would be a fantastic personal achievement. He added that their ambition is to qualify for Europe again, that playing in Europe was a brilliant experience, and that with the quality of their squad, they can do it again. Fabian Hurzeler stated that he is happy Jason will stay with them, adding that Steele has a great influence in the dressing room and maintains high standards on and off the pitch every day. The player's market value is currently €1.50 million, according to Transfermarkt.
