Jan Virgili Transfer from Barcelona II to Mallorca

According to Marca, Barcelona and Mallorca have come to an agreement regarding the transfer of Jan Virgili. The two clubs reached this agreement following discussions between their sporting directors, Deco and Ortells. The transfer fee has been reported to be 3.5 million EUR, with Barcelona retaining 50% of the rights to Virgili. This approach aligns with Barcelona's recent strategy of maintaining some control over young players in the transfer market. Jan Virgili is expected to undergo a medical examination at Mallorca on Thursday morning, with the official announcement of the transfer set to follow upon the successful completion of the medical.

Mallorca showed interest in signing Jan Virgili from Barcelona. Similar to Almería, they were displeased with Barcelona's proposed terms, which included a $4 million fee and retaining 50% of any future transfer. The 19-year-old Spanish winger, who recently scored in the Intercontinental Sub-20 final against Flamengo, reportedly wants to leave Barcelona due to limited first-team opportunities. However, Barcelona is adamant about his continued development with Barça Atlètic in the Segunda RFEF, Spain's fourth division. Despite his impressive performance, the club remains firm on their stance, demanding a satisfactory offer to consider his transfer. The player's contract is valid until June 30, 2027, and his market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €3 million. With almost two weeks left in the transfer window, his future is still uncertain.
