Mark Hendry reported that Celtic are considering making offers for central defender Jamie Lawrence.

According to journalist Rudi Galetti's Substack, Celtic have added Jamie Lawrence to their list of players to monitor closely. Lawrence's contract expires at the end of this season, and negotiations over an extension with Tirol have reportedly stalled. The Austrian side is now said to be open to selling him to avoid losing him for no fee in the summer. Previous links to Eintracht Frankfurt’s Aurèle Amenda are potentially becoming less frequent following the managerial change in Germany.

Celtic are reportedly interested in the towering Tirol defender Jamie Lawrence, a 23-year-old German and Nigerian Centre-Back. The 23-year-old is expected to leave the Austrian side as a free agent in the summer, however, there is significant interest in signing him now. The Premiership champions are said to be monitoring his situation. Teams in Spain, Turkey, and China are also reportedly monitoring the player. A former Germany U20 international with 14 caps, Lawrence has made 17 appearances and scored one goal in the Bundesliga this season. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €600k.
