James McAtee Transfer from Nottingham Forest to Chelsea

Chelsea have shown interest in signing Nottingham Forest attacking midfielder James McAtee. Mail Sport reported that Chelsea are one of five clubs that are interested. Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca, who is under pressure, is said to admire McAtee. The two worked together at Manchester City when the Italian was a member of Pep Guardiola’s coaching staff. Chelsea continue to monitor the transfer market for what they consider to be opportunities, despite having many players who play in the No. 10 position.

According to Goal.com, Chelsea are reportedly monitoring Nottingham Forest's James McAtee ahead of the January transfer window. The 23-year-old English midfielder has become an outcast at his current club just months after completing a £30m transfer from Manchester City in the summer, having made only six Premier League appearances this season. Chelsea's head coach, Enzo Maresca, who has worked with the former England Under-21 international in the past, is said to be monitoring him. McAtee has 24 caps and 8 goals for the England Under-21 team. His contract with Nottingham Forest is set to expire in June 2030, and his current market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €23.00m. He has previously been linked with clubs including Bayer Leverkusen, Borussia Dortmund, and Tottenham Hotspur.
