Jakub Świerczok leaving Śląsk Wrocław?
Jakub Świerczok's contract with Śląsk Wrocław, which expires on June 30, will not be extended. The player, who joined the club in September as a free agent and participated in 10 league matches and one Polish Cup match, will leave the club. He scored goals in matches against Motor Lublin and Piast Gliwice before suffering an ACL injury in February, which required reconstructive surgery. Although his return to full fitness is uncertain, he is expected to join a new team without a transfer fee.
Jakub Świerczok may leave Śląsk Wrocław in the winter. The club is uncertain about keeping him due to his contract structure, which could make him one of the highest earners on the team if certain performance-based clauses are activated. Despite currently being one of the lowest earners, his salary could significantly increase if he plays a certain number of minutes and scores goals. The club is unsure if this is a risk worth taking, hence the potential departure.
Jakub Świerczok, a six-time representative of Poland, signed a contract in September and has made ten appearances, scoring one goal. The club is not satisfied with his performance and is considering his departure as early as the winter transfer window.
