Alex Haditaghi, the owner of Pogoń Szczecin, confirmed that Piast Gliwice's 21-year-old Polish left-back Jakub Lewicki has recently been a subject of interest for the club. Responding to a query from Piotr Koźmiński on the social media platform X, Haditaghi stated that Pogoń made a very good offer for Lewicki in the summer, adding that the club values the player and believes he has great potential. However, he also noted a trend where asking prices seem to inflate when Pogoń shows interest, mentioning past dealings for players like Eman Markovic at GKS Katowice, Rifet Kapić at Lechia, and Luquinhas at Radomiak as examples. He affirmed that the club's policy is to negotiate firmly and make smart decisions, not to purchase a player simply to complete a transfer. Lewicki's contract with Piast is valid until June 30, 2027. The player has a current Transfermarkt market value of €800k and has been capped 7 times for the Poland U20 team.
