Jaime Peralta, Cúcuta Deportivo's 21-year-old Colombian centre-forward and top scorer, has decided to leave the club and agreed to join Forte Virtus of the United Arab Emirates. Although an earlier proposal from Rubín Kazán of Russia did not proceed, the player's intention was to move abroad. The desire for a better salary was a key factor in his decision to leave, as he was earning 5 million pesos in Colombia and had a $2 million clause. Peralta will join as a free agent and is expected in Abu Dhabi for medical exams to finalize a six-month contract, which has an option to be extended to two years depending on objectives. He also plans to file a labor lawsuit against Cúcuta, as he believes the contractual simulation he experienced is not legal in Colombia. In the 2025/2026 domestic league season, Peralta scored 8 goals in 18 appearances. The forward joined Cúcuta Deportivo in July 2023 and has a current market value of €350k, according to Transfermarkt.
