'Tema Sport' reports that CSKA is working on its summer recruitment and is preparing a transfer for Ivaylo Chochev, a 33-year-old Bulgarian midfielder from Ludogorets. A transfer fee will be required for CSKA to sign their former player, because Chochev extended his contract with Ludogorets in November. The club did not sign the midfielder in the summer of 2020. Although past negotiations with his clubs were considered difficult, there is now optimism at CSKA about the possibility of Chochev returning. He previously played for the team from 2013 to 2014. It is reported that after a recent cup match, Chochev spent a significant amount of time in conversation with people from CSKA. A potential deal would set a precedent, as CSKA has never paid a transfer fee to sign a player directly from Ludogorets. Chochev has 51 caps and 4 goals for Bulgaria. He joined Ludogorets in February 2024 and his current market value, according to Transfermarkt, is €1.80m.
