Shakhtar Donetsk is closely monitoring Lechia Gdansk's 25-year-old midfielder Ivan Zhelizko. The Donetsk club is considering the Ukrainian footballer as an option to strengthen the defensive midfield position, which would simultaneously increase competition within the squad and address the foreign player limit. The player's transfer value is estimated at 3 million euros. Zhelizko joined the Polish club in August 2023. His contract is valid until June 2028. He has one cap for the Ukraine U23 national team.
