Matej Škegro stated that the agreement between clubs is in the final stage, and after the New Year, 22-year-old Croatian Ivan Cvijanović will undergo a medical examination and then sign the contract. Škegro confirmed that Osijek acted very correctly and recognized they have strong options at left back, particularly with the return of former international Barišić, and that for this reason Cvijanović's departure is seen as the best solution. Škegro added that Cvijanović is moving to a strong market and believes he has the knowledge and energy to demonstrate his abilities in a quality league. In the 2025/2026 domestic league season, Cvijanović has made 10 appearances and provided 1 assist.
