According to Sportal.bg, Levski are in final negotiations to acquire Ivan Basic from Astana. Levski have accelerated negotiations in recent days to prevent a potential increase in Basic's value at the World Cup. Astana prefers to negotiate a deal after the tournament, because the player could increase his value. The price set by the management of Astana is 2.5 million euros.

Levski are targeting Astana midfielder and Bosnia and Herzegovina international Ivan Bašić. The 24-year-old has a contract with the Kazakh club until 2028, holds a Croatian passport, and would not take up a non-EU player spot. Sources in Kazakhstan claim that Levski have submitted a €2.5 million offer for the player. However, Astana are reportedly not in a hurry to accept, as they believe his value could increase if he performs well at the World Cup. Bašić has 16 caps for Bosnia-Herzegovina and joined Astana in July 2025. His current market value is €1.20m, according to Transfermarkt.
