Ismaël Kandouss moves to RS Berkane in Morocco. The 27-year-old defender signed a contract with the club that won the championship in the Moroccan first division last season. For Kandouss, a return to Morocco is imminent as RS Berkane has expressed interest in him. According to Africafoot, the transfer of the 27-year-old is already finalized. Kandouss reportedly passed his medical examination on Tuesday morning and subsequently signed a two-year contract with an option for extension. AA Gent receives a decent transfer fee from the deal, amounting to 1.5 million euros, which is a reasonable return for an unwanted player and barely a loss on their initial investment.

Ismaël Kandouss has attracted concrete interest from Renaissance Sportive de Berkane in Morocco's Botola Pro Inwi. Advanced talks are underway to facilitate his departure. AA Gent would be satisfied to remove his lucrative salary from their books.
