Ioannis Pittas Transfer from CSKA Sofia to Legia Warszawa

It is reported that Legia Warsaw remains interested in Ioannis Pittas. Bulgarian media are increasingly speculating about a potential transfer for the striker during the winter transfer window. According to local sources, Legia Warsaw has renewed its interest in the matter.

Łukasz Olkowicz reported that Ioannis Pittas was one of the priority targets for Legia Warszawa during the previous winter transfer window. Legia had negotiated a potential transfer fee of 1.2 million euros, which was to be paid in installments. Ultimately, CSKA Sofia opted to pay more for the player. Despite prior approval from the transfer committee, the manager at the time, Gonçalo Feio, decided he did not want the 35-year-old.

According to Piotr Włodarczyk, a former scout for Legia Warszawa, the club was very close to signing 29-year-old Cypriot striker Ioannis Pittas during the winter 2025 transfer window. Speaking on the program "Ofensywni", Włodarczyk revealed that negotiations were taking place around December or January and that everything for the transfer had been agreed upon before the club ultimately decided not to proceed. Pittas has recently been linked with a move to Legia again. His contract with CSKA Sofia is valid until 30 June 2028, and in the current season, he has scored three goals and provided one assist in 11 appearances. The player's value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €2.50 million.
