Panathinaikos are considering 29-year-old South Korean international In-beom Hwang as an alternative option for their midfield, if their efforts to sign primary target Mathias Jensen are unsuccessful. Hwang, who is familiar with the Greek league from his time at Olympiacos, has a contract with Feyenoord until 2028. A transfer would require an offer exceeding €7-8 million, an amount Panathinaikos is able to provide. It is reported that Alafouzos is prepared to spend up to €10 million for a midfielder. The midfielder has 76 caps for South Korea and, in the 2025/2026 Eredivisie season, he made 17 appearances, scoring one goal and providing three assists.
