Piast's sporting director, Łukasz Piworowicz, stated in an interview with weszło.com that Drapiński may leave the club during the summer window. Piworowicz said that Drapiński is attracting interest from both Polish and foreign clubs, including from outside Europe. In recent months, clubs such as Red Bull Salzburg have been mentioned in connection with the player. Drapiński's current contract with Piast is valid until June 2029 and is reported to contain a release clause of one million euros.

RB Salzburg is among several clubs, including AGF Aarhus, FC Copenhagen, and Pisa, monitoring 21-year-old Polish centre-back Igor Drapinski. AGF Aarhus took concrete steps to sign the player in the winter, but the Piast Gliwice defender, who joined the club in July 2024, decided to stay. A summer transfer is now considered a realistic possibility. Drapinski is under contract until 2029. His current market value is €1.50m, according to Transfermarkt, and reports from April 2026 state his contract contains a release clause of €1 million.
