Genoa is interested in signing Ignace Van der Brempt, a 24-year-old Belgian right-back who has been permitted to leave his current club, Como. Sassuolo, also a Serie A side, is also interested in the former RB Salzburg player. A potential deal structure being discussed is a loan with a mandatory purchase option. Van der Brempt's contract with Como runs until 2028, and he has been capped 15 times for Belgium's U21 team, scoring one goal. Como signed him from Red Bull Salzburg in July 2025 for a fee reported to be €5.0 million. His current Transfermarkt market value is €3.00m.
