Auxerre is in search of a striker and has shown interest in Ibrahim Diabaté, a 25-year-old Ivorian forward who is currently contracted with GAIS until December 2028. Diabaté joined GAIS on a free transfer from Västeräs in January and has since scored 16 goals and contributed three assists in 23 matches across all competitions. Having been trained by ASEC Mimosas, Diabaté spent five years in Spain but did not manage to break into the first teams of Majorca, Sevilla, or Atlético Madrid. The forward, who is valued at around 2.5 million euros, is under active observation by the club as they aim to bolster their attacking lineup. Additionally, he has attracted interest from several other clubs, including Hamburger SV, Genk, and Union Saint-Gilloise.
