Ivan Leko, the Croatian coach of KAA Gent, is convinced of the potential of Ibe Hautekiet and wants to bring him to the club. Hautekiet, who has a contract with Standard until 2027 and a market value of 3.5 million euros, played 35 competitive matches last season. Leko wants to persuade Hautekiet to wait until KAA Gent sells some players to afford the transfer fee. Standard is asking for a transfer fee between 2.5 and 3 million euros.
