Hrvoje Smolčić, aged 24, has returned to Eintracht Frankfurt after his loan to LASK ended, but is unlikely to stay. He is expected to go on another loan, with several clubs interested. Widzew Lodz, coached by Željko Sopić, is the leading contender, but Rakow, as well as Turkish clubs Boluspor and Kocaelispor, are also interested.

Hrvoje Smolčić, who previously played for Rijeka and is a Croatian U-21 national, remains under contract with Eintracht Frankfurt until the conclusion of the 2026/27 season. According to Yagız Sabuncuoglu, Kocaelispor has made an official offer to Eintracht for Smolčić. Last season, Smolčić was on loan at LASK Linz, where he played 33 matches, scored three goals, and provided one assist. He was initially transferred to Eintracht in January 2022 for a fee of 2.5 million euros. Kocaelispor, recognized for its ambitious objectives and dedicated fan base, has recently returned to the Turkish Super Lig and is actively looking to strengthen their team.
