At the end of February, Young Boys submitted an offer for Zamalek's 24-year-old Egyptian centre-back Hossam Abdelmaguid, and a club from Hungary also reportedly made a bid at that time. Despite the reported interest, there have not yet been any real negotiations, as Youm7 mentioned that Zamalek is waiting for an official bid before taking a position. Egyptian media have indicated that Zamalek is seeking a transfer fee of 2 to 3 million dollars for the defender. The Egyptian international has 12 caps, a contract with the club until June 2027, and a current Transfermarkt market value of €1.80m. According to reports in April 2026, a potential transfer fee was discussed at approximately €2.8 million.
