Qarabağ of Azerbaijan is one of several clubs interested in signing Horațiu Moldovan, a 28-year-old Romanian goalkeeper who is not part of Atlético de Madrid's plans and is seeking regular playing time. Other clubs from competitions described as 'exotic' showing interest include Wieczysta of Poland and Omonia of Cyprus. Pendikspor from the Turkish second division is also monitoring the goalkeeper's situation for a potential transfer, but it is reported that Moldovan would prefer to play in a higher division. The Romanian international, who has 16 caps for his country, spent the 2025/2026 season on loan at Real Oviedo, where he made two league appearances. His contract with Atlético de Madrid is valid until June 2027. His market value is currently €1.80m, according to Transfermarkt.
