Wyness believes a return to Aston Villa, where the 23-year-old English player just finished a loan spell, is improbable. He suggests the relationship is damaged because Elliott's playing time was restricted due to a clause that would have triggered a permanent transfer. Wyness mentioned hearing that Sunderland, along with some of the promoted clubs, could be potential destinations for the player. Elliott's contract with Liverpool expires on June 30, 2027. According to Transfermarkt, his market value is estimated to be €22.00m. He has 28 caps and 14 goals for the England U21 team.
