Habib Diallo Transfer from Al Shabab to Metz
According to L'Équipe, Habib Diallo has signed a three-year contract with Metz that is valid until June 2028. The move follows the termination of his contract with Al-Shabab, where he played in 2023-2024 and was on loan at Damac last season.
Habib Diallo is set to return to FC Metz, five years after leaving for Strasbourg. According to a Saudi source, a total agreement has been reached between the club and Al-Shabab, where the player has been since 2023. Diallo is already in Paris to support his future teammates.
Habib Diallo, the Senegalese striker, has reportedly reached an agreement with FC Metz for a return to Ligue 1. However, the move is contingent on Diallo being released from his contract with Al-Shabab in Saudi Arabia, which has not yet occurred.
Habib Diallo, who is currently experiencing difficulties at Al-Shabab FC in Saudi Arabia, is reportedly interested in terminating his contract to make a return to Metz. It is understood that Metz has reached out to Diallo, who appears to be enthusiastic about the idea of going back to the club where he spent seven years and has established strong personal connections, including owning a house and having many friends in the area. Al-Shabab has made several unsuccessful attempts to loan him out. Diallo, who joined Al-Shabab two years ago and has since been loaned to Damac FC where he scored 7 goals in 28 matches, is reportedly eager to return to Metz, a club where he scored 48 goals in 116 appearances between 2013 and 2020. Metz views the potential return of Diallo as a promising opportunity, with the club's director of sports, Frédéric Arpinon, considering it a 'pari' or 'bet' that fits well with his strategy. Although Diallo's contract with Al-Shabab extends until 2026, his desire to leave is strong, particularly with interest from several European clubs.
