Gustavo Herrera has garnered interest from LASK Linz following his impressive performances at the CONCACAF U20 Championship, during which he scored three goals in four games and played a pivotal role in helping Panama reach the semifinals. He is scheduled to travel to Linz for a trial period. The 19-year-old forward, who recently completed a loan stint with Puebla FC's U23 team in Mexico, is currently en route to Linz for the trial. Herrera's parent club, Sporting San Miguelito from Panama, has consented to the trial at LASK. It is still uncertain whether he will immediately join LASK Linz's main team. Originating from Colón, Panama, Herrera made his debut for the Panama senior national team in February 2025.
