Lech Poznań is targeting Gustav Berggren to strengthen their midfield. It is reported that the club is exploring alternative options after their financial proposals for Niklas Dorsch from Heidenheim and Tamar Svetlin from Korona Kielce were deemed too low. Berggren, a Swedish international, previously played for Raków Częstochowa and currently represents New York Red Bulls, having moved there last summer for 1.8 million euro. A loan is considered the most realistic scenario for the 28-year-old's potential transfer. The player's contract with the American team is valid until at least December 2028. Berggren has one cap for his country and his current market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €2.50m. In the current Major League Soccer season, he has made 10 appearances, providing one assist.
