Grant Hanley, who was informed that he does not have a future at Norwich City under Johannes Hoff Thorup, is nearing a transfer to Birmingham City in England's third tier. He has traveled to the West Midlands to undergo a medical examination before completing a free transfer, which would conclude his seven and a half-year tenure with the Norfolk club. Hanley, who has earned 59 caps for Scotland, has also represented them at two European Championships. Earlier this month, he was seen as a possible option for Rangers to replace the injured John Souttar, but that move did not come to fruition.
