Gjivai Zechiël Transfer from Feyenoord to FC Utrecht
Gjivai Zechiël joins FC Utrecht on a one-season loan from Feyenoord. After discussions with technical director Jordy Zuidam and head coach Ron Jans, Zechiël felt positive about the move. He expressed enthusiasm about the human aspect valued by both Zuidam and Jans and is eager to make an impact at Utrecht both offensively and defensively. Zechiël previously completed a loan spell at Sparta Rotterdam last season.
Gjivai Zechiël will play on loan for FC Utrecht next season, as reported by De Telegraaf. The 21-year-old midfielder was also of interest to FC Twente, but he prefers a temporary move to Utrecht.
FC Utrecht has expressed a solid interest in Gjivai Zechiël and has made an initial offer to Feyenoord, with the intention of securing a loan deal. Zechiël has yet to make a decision regarding his future. He remains contracted with Feyenoord until mid-2028 and has ambitions to succeed at De Kuip. His market value is estimated at four million euros. It remains uncertain whether he will be given an opportunity during the preparation phase by trainer Robin van Persie or if he will need to seek opportunities elsewhere on a temporary basis. At 21 years of age, Zechiël spent the previous season on loan at Sparta Rotterdam, where he made a notable impact by participating in thirteen matches and scoring two goals. Currently, he stands as the first and only concrete target for Utrecht early in this transfer window.
