According to La Nazione, Spezia could offer Giuseppe Aurelio to Cagliari to resolve an impasse over the appointment of Guido Angelozzi as Spezia's new sporting director. The issue stems from Angelozzi's contract with the Sardinian club, which is valid until 2027 and has led to prolonged negotiations for his release. Aurelio, an Italian left-back born in 2000, is one of two players Spezia might propose to break the deadlock. He is valued at one million euros and had a notable performance for his club last season, contributing seven goals and three assists in 35 appearances. The 26-year-old, who joined Spezia in July 2025, has a contract until June 2028. Several other Italian clubs, including Venezia, Modena, Lecce, and Frosinone, have also been linked with him. Reports from May and June 2026 state Spezia's asking price for the player is between €1 million and €1.5 million.
