According to Tuttomercato, Giovanni Zaro is absent from Cesena's squad for the Coppa Italia match against Sassuolo, which is described as a sign related to the transfer market. Zaro is set to join Juve Stabia to replace Giorgini.

With Andrea Giorgini reportedly close to moving to Südtirol, Juve Stabia has begun looking for a possible replacement, and sporting director Stefanelli is evaluating 32-year-old Italian defender Giovanni Zaro. According to Corriere Romagna, the defender is not part of Cesena's plans, with the club working on his departure to free up a slot in their squad. This has led Juve Stabia to make an initial inquiry about the feasibility of the transfer. Zaro joined Cesena in July 2025 and has a contract with the club until June 2027. His current Transfermarkt market value is €500k.
