Italian goalkeeper Giovanni Daffara, 21, made 25 appearances in Serie B last season and is the subject of interest from several Serie A clubs, including Cagliari, Udinese, and Lecce. According to Prima Tivvu, Avellino has exercised its option to buy the player from Juventus. The same report states that Juventus has until June 20th to activate a counter-option, which the club is expected to do. Prima Tivvu also reports that Juventus could then sign Daffara to a new contract until 2030 and that the counter-option is set at a reported €1 million, which would lead to a profit for Avellino. His current market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €3.50m. Daffara has not yet been capped by the senior Italy national team.
