Avellino has exercised its option to sign 21-year-old Italian goalkeeper Giovanni Daffara from Juventus, but the move is pending official confirmation. Juventus holds a counter-option to re-sign the player, which is exercisable until June 20. According to a report from Prima Tivvu, Juventus is expected to activate this clause. The same report notes that following a season in Serie B with 25 appearances, Daffara is of interest to several Serie A clubs, including Cagliari, Udinese, and Lecce. It is reported that should Juventus reacquire him, they plan to offer him a contract renewal until 2030.
