Catanzaro's sporting director, Ciro Polito, has expressed interest in acquiring Giorgi Kvernadze, a 22-year-old Georgian winger, as part of a player exchange deal with Frosinone for Nicolò Buso. Kvernadze, who became part of Frosinone in 2023, has made 43 appearances and scored four goals for the club. Frosinone regards him as an important player and has requested Nicolò Buso along with financial compensation in exchange. Catanzaro currently considers the financial demand to be excessive, but discussions might continue as the transfer window approaches its conclusion. Renzo Castagnini, the sporting director of Frosinone, is interested in Nicolò Buso, who had limited playtime last season with only 18 appearances and one goal, and is again not a first-choice this season. The player exchange is viewed as potentially beneficial for both clubs, although financial terms remain a point of contention. Kvernadze, whose market value is estimated by Transfermarkt at €1.50m, has also caught the attention of other clubs, including Cagliari and Hellas Verona.
