Gianluigi Donnarumma Transfer from Paris Saint Germain to Juventus

Gianluigi Donnarumma has been left out of the UEFA Super Cup squad by Luis Enrique, indicating that his tenure at Paris Saint-Germain might be coming to an end. Donnarumma is currently contracted with PSG until 2026 and earns 10 million euros annually, with bonuses that increase his earnings to about 12 million. His agents have requested a salary increase to 12 million plus additional bonuses, but PSG has turned down this request. The club is keen on facilitating his departure this summer to prevent losing him for free the following year. Christian Abbiati has remarked on the matter, stating his disbelief at how PSG is handling Donnarumma, emphasizing the player's crucial role in their Champions League achievements. Juventus has shown interest in Donnarumma, though financial limitations could pose a challenge.

Team Talk reported that Juventus expressed interest in acquiring Donnarumma and took a proactive approach by contacting his entourage and preparing contract offers. Juventus had already communicated with Donnarumma’s representatives and drafted contract proposals for the player. Sport Italia indicated that Juventus, along with Inter Milan and Manchester City, initiated moves in recent days to secure Donnarumma, who faced an uncertain future at PSG due to unresolved contract issues. Although Manchester City had not yet prepared a contract offer, Juventus and Inter had already done so, positioning themselves strongly in the competition for the Italian goalkeeper. Donnarumma's contract with PSG was set to expire in June 2026, but the absence of a satisfactory contract extension offer from PSG created an opportunity for potential transfers. Juventus' interest was part of a broader competition among these clubs to sign the highly-regarded shot-stopper.
