Brighton is one of several Premier League clubs monitoring Benfica winger Gianluca Prestianni. Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United, and Newcastle United have also monitored his progress in recent months. Scouts are assessing if the 20-year-old is ready for a subsequent move. He has one cap for Argentina and was tracked by several English clubs while at Velez Sarsfield before he joined Benfica in 2024. Although interest is increasing, no formal approaches are being prepared at present. The situation is at the monitoring stage, as clubs are gathering information instead of actively pursuing negotiations. Benfica is aware of the attention and wants to secure a new long-term contract with Prestianni to protect his value. His current contract, which expires in June 2029, includes a release clause reported to be €100 million. The Portuguese club signed him for a fee reported as €9 million, and his current market value on Transfermarkt is €40.00m. Reports in July 2026 suggested Benfica's asking price was between €15 million and €22 million.
