According to journalist Ekrem Konur, Zenit central midfielder Gerson has attracted interest from Al-Hilal, along with fellow Saudi clubs Al-Nassr and Al-Ittihad. Konur's report also indicates that Brazilian sides Corinthians, Cruzeiro, and Palmeiras are monitoring the 28-year-old Brazilian. The journalist states that Zenit is asking Palmeiras for a €25 million fee and would be willing to sell Gerson to Cruzeiro if the Brazilian club pays €15 million and includes defender Jonatan Jesus in the deal. Gerson, who has 14 caps and one goal for his country, joined Zenit from Flamengo in July 2025 for a reported €25 million and is under contract until 2030. He has one goal in 12 league appearances this season, and his current market value is listed by Transfermarkt as €18 million.
