The Saudi club Al Shabab, which finished 13th in the league last season, announced that Ukrainian national team goalkeeper Heorhii Bushchan has left the team. The 33-year-old goalkeeper moved to the Saudi Arabian championship in January 2025 but did not become a regular starting player, playing in 13 matches and conceding 28 goals. The player's contract was set to expire in June 2027, but the Saudi club did not disclose any details about the termination of the agreement. It is considered highly likely that Bushchan will continue his career with Zhytomyr's Polissya, where he played on loan, participating in six matches, conceding ten goals, and keeping three clean sheets. Bushchan has 18 caps for Ukraine and his current valuation, according to Transfermarkt, is €2.00m.
