According to SPORT, Barcelona have identified Villarreal's Georges Mikautadze as a potential alternative if they are unable to sign Julian Alvarez this summer. In the 2025/2026 LaLiga season, the 25-year-old Georgian international scored 13 goals and provided 6 assists in 32 appearances. Mikautadze has also been linked with Tottenham, who was reportedly prepared to offer close to €60 million in March 2026.
