English striker George Oakley will join Raith Rovers on a two-year deal when his contract at Ayr United expires. The 30-year-old's move to Kirkcaldy will reunite him with Dougie Imrie, with whom he worked at Morton. This follows a first season with Ayr in which he scored 13 goals and was included in the PFA Championship Team of the Season, although he experienced injury issues during the subsequent campaign. Oakley stated he was excited to join and was grateful for another opportunity to work with Dougie and Andy, who he said know him well as a person and a player.
